My journey as a woodworker started when I met my boyfriend who is a carpenter. For some reason I used to believe that I can not build beautiful things using my hands. I was scared of power tools, and I thought I am not skilled, talented or smart enough. He convinced me that woodworking is a skill, and skill can be learned. So he gave me my first drill and told me to practice. First I was disappointed, and even a little bit hurt, that he did not want to help me much, but soon I realized I am totally capable of learning everything myself.
My first project was installing the shelves to our woodshop. Then I took bigger projects, and eventually I decided to go study carpentry to improve my skill even more. Now that I have been running woodworking workshops for the beginners I meet many people with the same hesitations and anxieties. Some of them are scared of a drill, and many of them get overwhelmed by the amount of information available out there.
This is why I decided to write this short guide to simple woodworking. Here you can read about the very basic you need to know in order to start leveling up your skill by yourself. Let me know if you want to have copy of my e-book, I will send it to you. You can download the book here for as little money as one Euro.

A few years ago, Marta joined one of my creative workshops in Berlin. She was new to the city, in the middle of big life changes, and unsure how to turn her love for creativity into something real. She joined my coaching program full of hope, ideas, and curiosity, but quickly realized something important: She wasn’t ready. Not because she lacked skill, but because she needed time. Time to rebuild trust in herself. Time to settle. Time to listen. And then, at her own pace, something shifted....
This week, I want to introduce you to someone truly special: Ghaidaa, a passionate woodworker, educator, and all-around creative powerhouse who’s carving out something beautiful in Berlin — literally. Her story begins in Cairo, where Sunday strolls through the historic alleys of Fatimid Cairo sparked a lifelong love for craft. While other kids played, Ghaidaa watched tentmakers and copper workers with awe, but it was the woodworkers who truly captured her imagination. By 2015, she was...
