My journey as a woodworker started when I met my boyfriend who is a carpenter. For some reason I used to believe that I can not build beautiful things using my hands. I was scared of power tools, and I thought I am not skilled, talented or smart enough. He convinced me that woodworking is a skill, and skill can be learned. So he gave me my first drill and told me to practice. First I was disappointed, and even a little bit hurt, that he did not want to help me much, but soon I realized I am totally capable of learning everything myself.
My first project was installing the shelves to our woodshop. Then I took bigger projects, and eventually I decided to go study carpentry to improve my skill even more. Now that I have been running woodworking workshops for the beginners I meet many people with the same hesitations and anxieties. Some of them are scared of a drill, and many of them get overwhelmed by the amount of information available out there.
This is why I decided to write this short guide to simple woodworking. Here you can read about the very basic you need to know in order to start leveling up your skill by yourself. Let me know if you want to have copy of my e-book, I will send it to you. You can download the book here for as little money as one Euro.
If you want to meet other like-minded womxn of Berlin, and discover my waste wood collection to see what we can craft of it, I invite you to join the next community network on 21.08. The event takes place in Berlin Lichtenberg, Josepp-Orlopp Str 92. Book your spot here.
Have an awesome weekend!

The pictures will be uploaded to Getty images, where publishers can download these. This way we...

Community events are a good way how to meet other awesome crafty ladies and have some fun with waste wood. This week I celebrate the new video clip about spoon carving. I would love to know your thoughts on it. My main goal is to promote woodworking as a skill and hobby, so that more women would find their way to it. Your likes and comments help me to rank on...
