Marta’s Story: From Unclear Vision to Paid Creative Workshops

A few years ago, Marta joined one of my creative workshops in Berlin.

She was new to the city, in the middle of big life changes, and unsure how to turn her love for creativity into something real.

She joined my coaching program full of hope, ideas, and curiosity, but quickly realized something important:

She wasn’t ready.

Not because she lacked skill, but because she needed time. Time to rebuild trust in herself. Time to settle. Time to listen.

And then, at her own pace, something shifted.

She realized she might never feel completely ready.

And that’s when the magic began.

Fast forward to today… Marta has:

  • Led paid macrame workshops for Berlin-based companies
  • Received glowing feedback from her participants
  • And is now building her own brand, dreaming of her own studio, and showing up online, even when it’s vulnerable

She recently shared this:

“I don’t feel super ready and that’s exactly the point.

I’m choosing to be unsure, do it anyway, and figure it out as I go.”

This. This is what creative courage looks like.

Not waiting for the perfect plan.

Just taking one bold, imperfect step at a time and building something beautiful along the way.

💌 I’d love to hear from you.

Are you holding onto a creative dream, waiting for the “right” moment to begin?
Maybe you're in that messy middle space: full of ideas, but not quite sure where or how to start.

Hit reply and tell me about it. I read every message, and I’d be honored to hear your story.
You never know, writing it down might be your very first bold, imperfect step.

Let’s keep creating, even when it feels scary.

You’re not alone. 💛

PS. Marta shares her creative journey on Instagram. If you are curious about her progress or simply want to connect, she is welcoming happily to follow her here.

PS.1 I have opened the doors to my Beta program for crafts workshop facilitators. To apply joining it, simply hit reply to this e-mail and share few lines about your workshop idea.

This week, I want to introduce you to someone truly special: Ghaidaa, a passionate woodworker, educator, and all-around creative powerhouse who’s carving out something beautiful in Berlin — literally. Her story begins in Cairo, where Sunday strolls through the historic alleys of Fatimid Cairo sparked a lifelong love for craft. While other kids played, Ghaidaa watched tentmakers and copper workers with awe, but it was the woodworkers who truly captured her imagination. By 2015, she was...

Dear Reader, Thank you for being a member of Berlin Wood Sisters community. It is so important to bring diversity and inclusion into male dominated woodworking. My goal is to normalize woodworking by girls and women, and inspire more women to take action and start developing their building skills. With the help of a professional photographer we are going to make a photo shoot to support this goal. The pictures will be uploaded to Getty images, where publishers can download these. This way we...
